The Industrial Relations Section is pleased to announce that Ahmed White has been awarded the 2022 Richard A. Lester Book Award for Under the Iron Heel: The Wobblies and the Capitalist War on Radical Workers, and R. Douglas Arnold has been awarded the 2022 William G. Bowen Book Award for Fixing Social Security: The Politics of Reform in a Polarized Age.

Each year, members of the Industrial Relations Section meet to select the most noteworthy books in labor economics published in the previous year.  Out of these, two are selected for the awards.
