Video of Derenoncourt's research included in AEA project

July 6, 2020

Ellora Derenoncourt's paper "Can We Reduce Inequality by Moving People to Better Neighborhoods?" was made into an animated video by Econimate in March of 2019.  In February of 2020, the video was included in a resource list of diverse economists talking about their research, along with suggestions for how to connect the videos to a standard economics curriculum.  This resource is a joint project of the AEA's Committee on the Status of Women in the Economics Profession (CSWEP), Committee on the Status of Minority Groups in the Economics Profession (CSMGEP), and Diversifying Economic Quality (Div.E.Q.).

Derenoncourt, a postdoctoral research associate in the Industrial Relations Section during the 2019-2020 academic year, joined UC-Berkeley as an assistant professor in July 2020.
