The Research Data Centre (FDZ) of the German Federal Employment Agency (BA) at the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) provides researchers access to micro data for non-commercial empirical research in the fields of social security and employment.

We have recently entered into an agreement with the IAB to provide access to social data and data legally equated to social data from the IAB and BA in the FDZ of the BA for purposes of conducting research projects.

Dr. Joerg Heining, Senior Researcher at the Research Data Centre (FDZ) of the Federal Employment Agency at the Institute for Employment Research will be here to discuss how researchers can gain access to German social data held by the IAB.
