I use the stacked event-study method to estimate the environmental and economic benefits of PM2.5 pollution monitoring. Satellite pollution data shows that following the installation of a new pollution monitoring site, zip code level PM2.5 falls 0.4 µg /m3 and house prices increase by 0.5%.
